Opinion: Flavored products are driving the teen vaping epidemic — remove them from Denver stores

Robin Deterding, a pediatric lung specialist and medical director for the Breathing Institute at Children’s Hospital Colorado, describes the direct corollary between flavored tobacco products and teen use. Early experience with flavored products in vaping leads to an increased likelihood of adult cigarette addiction. She proposes eliminating flavored products as a way to combat Colorado’s increasing number of youth users.
