Cannabis-Involved Emergency Department Visits Among Persons Aged <25 Years Before and During the COVID-19 Pandemic — United States, 2019–2022

ED visits involving marijuana among young persons increased during the COVID-19 pandemic and remain elevated. This may be a result of many factors: a coping mechanism for pandemic stress, the use of high-THC products, increased availability in states with legalized and commercialized markets, and increased unintentional ingestions due to kid-friendly packaging and THC candy.
