Association of High-Potency Cannabis Use with Mental Health and Substance Use in Adolescence

“To our knowledge, this study provides the first general population evidence suggesting that the use of high-potency cannabis is associated with mental health and addiction.” This study followed over 1000 young adults and monitored frequency and potency of cannabis use, and how that might lead to cannabis problems and the likelihood of anxiety disorder. Their findings suggest that limiting the availability of high-potency cannabis might reduce these numbers.
