The authors report on an analysis of young adults from 01/01/2008 to 12/31/2019 from the National Surveys on Drug Use and Health. They found that past-year cannabis use disorder (CUD), daily cannabis use, and occasional cannabis use was associated with higher prevalence of past-year suicidal ideation, plan, and attempt in both genders, but significantly more in women with or without a major depressive episode (MDE).
