Parents’ Marijuana Use May Increase Children’s Risk of Marijuana Use and Favorable Views of Marijuana

This study found that parents’ use of marijuana during adolescence, regardless of whether it continued into adulthood, were more likely to have children who used marijuana or alcohol. As the number of adults who use marijuana following legalization in many states rises, the number among children also increases, creating a significant public health concern.
